She has grown up on-screen playing Hermione, but Emma Watson is yet to confirm that she will continue appearing in the Harry Potter films.
Committing to the next two films, which are in the early stages of pre-production, would mean that Watson would play the character until she was 20.
But the actress has other plans for her future.
"I love to perform, but there are so many things I love doing," the 16-year-old said.
"Maybe that sounds ungrateful. I've been given such an amazing opportunity, but I'll just have to go with the flow."
Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, and Rupert Grint, who completes the trio as Ron Weasley, are currently in negotiations and look set to appear in the final two films.
Producer David Heyman, who has been with the franchise since the original film rights were acquired from J.K Rowling, says that he is quietly optimistic that the three actors will return to the project.
"It would be a hard thing to change and it would be disrupting," he said.
"I would love them all to see it through to the end. I adore themI feel like an uncle or godfatherbut ultimately they have to do what's right for them. This is their lives."
The fifth film in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is currently filming north of London.
