Eminem's divorce proceedings handed to mediator

Their unconventional romance has seen words of hate rapped, threatening tattoos inked on each others body and now a divorce settlement that is lasting longer than the marriage itself did. Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, and wife Kimberley have been married twice but the second divorce is taking so long to be finalised that its proceedings have been handed to a mediator.The couple's second marriage lasted only 82 days. After their second wedding in Michigan on January 14th, the marital bliss only lasted until April 5th when Eminem filed for divorce.But because they failed to come to an agreement over the terms of the split, a mediator has now been assigned to handle the case.'Nobody likes to be in court,' Kimberley Mathers' attorney Michael J. Smith told Associated Press. 'But both parties want to do what's best for their children.'According to E! Online, Kimberley is requesting custody of their ten-year-old daughter Hailie Jade, child and spousal support and mortgage payments for the former family home. The pair have never been the run of the mill high school sweethearts. Since marrying in 1999, having a daughter and then divorcing in 2001, the couple have been in and out of the media declaring their hatred for one another
