Dr. 90210

The new season of the E! Dr. 90210 television show began this week...and I have no part in it! While they were only in my old L.A. office for the first season, they have returned to my former office this season to focus on two young guys who took my place: Dr. Gary Motykie and Dr. John Diaz. Dr. Motykie is the one who actually filled my spot when I decided to leave L.A. to return to my home state of Michigan two years ago. Both are good guys who have a great mentor in Dr. Richard Ellenbogen, one of the top Beverly Hills plastic surgeons over the last twenty-five years. I have a feeling that Dr. Diaz and Dr. Motykie's single, footloose-and-fancy-free lifestyles will showcase better than my current married with a small child lifestyle. Ah.. life goes on...

Kimberly Stewart

In Touch Magazine is reporting that Kimberly Stewart appears to have had her breast implants removed. I seem to remember her having them removed some time before??

Pamela Anderson

What is going on with Pamela Anderson's nipples? I believe it is a result of scar tissue from peri-areolar (scar around the areola) breast augmentation surgery. With the alleged numerous breast implant surgeries she has had, it makes sense that she may have developed some scar tissue around her areolas and nipples. This can cause the nipple to project downward or look a bit odd. Peri-areolar breast augmentation is not my favorite way to perform the surgery (although I do it that way in patients who desire it), but it is a very popular technique on the West Coast.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) has been blog fodder for months, mainly focusing on her oh-so-obvious breast implants. The excessive roundness that she displays is very consistent with breast implants which are high profile (rounder than traditional discus-shaped implants), overfilled, and likely on top of the muscle. When the native breast tissue disappears due to a low body fat percentage, there is nothing covering the implants but skin. This causes the shape of the implants (round) to be very apparent. In addition, some women who start out with no breast tissue at all (AA cup) have their implants literally make up their entire breast. This also predisposes to a less natural result. Of note, because she is British, there is a distinct chance she has the silicone gel implants which are not allowed to be placed in this country outside of government studies. No matter, she was always my favorite Spice Girl.

Dave and Paris party

Recently single Dave Navarro doesn't seem to be wasting any time getting back in the dating game, as he was spotted flirting with a bevy of blondes at a party one of whom was Paris Hilton.

Rocking up to the bash at the heir-head's home, the former Jane's Addiction guitarist and ex-husband of Carmen Electra was surrounded by girls all evening, Life & Style Weekly reports.

And that includes hostess Paris herself - the magazine quotes an onlooker as saying: "They were quite the pair, the drunken heiress and the lascivious rock star.

"I don't even think she knew she was talking to Dave. I think she thought he was a tree."

'Hermione' unsure about Harry Potter plans

She has grown up on-screen playing Hermione, but Emma Watson is yet to confirm that she will continue appearing in the Harry Potter films.

Committing to the next two films, which are in the early stages of pre-production, would mean that Watson would play the character until she was 20.

But the actress has other plans for her future.

"I love to perform, but there are so many things I love doing," the 16-year-old said.

"Maybe that sounds ungrateful. I've been given such an amazing opportunity, but I'll just have to go with the flow."

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, and Rupert Grint, who completes the trio as Ron Weasley, are currently in negotiations and look set to appear in the final two films.

Producer David Heyman, who has been with the franchise since the original film rights were acquired from J.K Rowling, says that he is quietly optimistic that the three actors will return to the project.

"It would be a hard thing to change and it would be disrupting," he said.

"I would love them all to see it through to the end. I adore themI feel like an uncle or godfatherbut ultimately they have to do what's right for them. This is their lives."

The fifth film in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is currently filming north of London.

Hollywood heavyweights to produce Asian epic

Harvey and Bob Weinstein, the producers of cinematic treats such as Chicago and Kill Bill, are adding a new film to their resume.

The powerful producers will be releasing a Kazakhstan-produced film, Nomad, which has been described as an epic about "courage and romance".

The $40 million film is being made by the central Asian country to boost tourism and give the world an accurate depiction of the country that has been satirised in the latest Sacha Baron Cohen film, Borat.

Borat Sagdiyev, a fictional TV reporter played by Cohen, has won many fans for his comical adventures, particularly in his latest film.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is to be released in London around the same time as Kazakhstans leader, President Nursultan Nazarbayev, visits the city.

Kazakhstans foreign ministry spokesman, Yerzhan Ashykbayev, says that the decision to make a big-budget film in his home country is not a direct response to Borat, but said the region does want to show the world what it is really like.

"We understand that Borat is a kind of satire, but it is just a pity that Mr Cohen chose Kazakhstan as the origin of his hero," Mr Ashykbayev told the Times.

"As far as I know, he has never been to Kazakhstan, although there have been efforts on the part of some people here to invite him so that he can see what our country is really like."
